Shini's was being his usual self and the moments between arriving at the lodge and him firmly 'lodging' himself in his stall and refusing to come out might have been counted in miliseconds, if that'd been possible.
It wasn't that new places worried him, far from it. He just hated being dragged around and asked to do a lot of silly thing for no apparent reason.
Jake shook his head at the young cat and patted Isis on the shoulder.
"You know Jiro..." he said, "I don't think you're training with him enough. I mean I know Ao's got you pretty tied up, but that horse is already obedient. This one..."
He meant to turn around to speak to his companion but ended up doing a 360. "Jiro?" he called out, but the other was no where in sigh. "Damn! Where the *** did he go this time?"
Jake just shook his head. At least Issy had the sense not to go wandering off in strange new places. Then, she hardly ever 'wandered off' as it was. The large queen stuck to him like glue, almost as she was convinced that the world would end if she cease being in his shadow.
It was endearing, most of the time, and it did mean he always knew where she was - but it was a bit troublesome (she sulked something
serious when he left her at home and went out on his own) when he'd be drowned in kitty affection when coming home after having been out for a night's entertainment.
