Bracing oceans

Darklight Stable, long having wanted the opportunity to participate in a show for Pegasi literally jumped at the opportunity when the topic came up during breeding talks with Silver Wings Ranch.
The only downside was that while the stable had several winged horses, only one of them was actually tame.
In the end however, they'd decided to Embers of a dying sun - or Emb for short - and make the best of it.
Mae was however staying firmly on the ground. The owner of Darklight Stables had a terrible head for heights. Besides, Emb was Sam's horse, she'd follow him around likea puppy.

The noise was deathening.
The audience following the performance on screen wasn't sure who they thought was showing off more; the red mare for her daring antics just above - and sometimes through- the heavy surf around the rocky pillars, or her rider for riding her without as much as a trace of tack...
Weaving her way around the increasingly large rocks dotted around the coastline of the Island, dashing and dancing in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with rock and ocean, neither being a very forgiving enemy. The last 'obstacle' on the 'course' - a huge, roughcut geological speciment rising out of the waves like a vengeful Aphrodite - was just ahead.
Seranthiem could barely make out the hazy shape through all the spray kicked up by the sea as it crashed against the unyielding land. He tightened his grip with his knees. This was not somewhere he wanted to fall off.
Beneath him, the mare's strong wings beat against the viscious air currents as they fast approached the rocky pillar...

Just something I threw together... first try didn't go too well - I was trying a dramit rise out of the ocean spray in the foreground as they rounded a large rock pillar, but that looked so horrible that I redid it as this...still not what I was aiming at, but I'm not feeling well enough at the moment to work more on it
