"Are you sure that you really want to wear that?" Kage had asked Hoshi when she was preparing to go out to the fight.

Now that they were at the site, surrounded by other trainers and their asotu, Hoshi understood the concern her brother had shown. She and Mysterious X stood out in the crowd, looking more like they had come to participate in their own match, rather than having brought asotu to partake in the fights. It seemed normal enough for her companion, whom Hoshi had yet to figure out, however for her part she was not used to bothering with kendo armour or concealing her identity. Generally, when she or her brothers wanted to be overlooked they simply slunk around in their weasel bodies, though today she was showing solidarity with the mysterious trainer she had been working with since she and Kojima arrived in Japan for these illustrious events.

"Uncomfortable?" The mysterious one inquired softly, standing close as they lead Kojima and Taichi to the ring.

Hoshi smiled behind the mask, knowing that nobody could see it and yet unable to help it. Truth was she was excited, and she thought she sensed the same from the strange being whom she had aligned herself with these past weeks. How could they not be excited?

"Of course not, eagerness is all that has me shaking," she assured the other trainer as they unclasped the leads and released the bulls into the ring. "Taichi looks ready for anything, so just hoping that these two will be able to make a good impression with the crowd."

"Nothing to worry about, I have worked hard training Taichi. I would be surprised if you were less diligent with Kojima."

Hoshi felt a hint of pride at the reassurance, and nodded silently as she turned her full attention to the ring. The bulls were familiar with one another, but they had yet to be put in the ring against one another prior to now. She could almost feel the tension in her companion as they stood side by side intent on what was going on in the ring. 

Kojima and Taichi circled for what seemed a lifetime, waiting and watching for the opportunity to strike. When it stretched on and on like that, the voices in the crowd grew louder as they egged on the bulls to get fighting. Both of their trainers had joined in with the shouts, gesticulating with fists high and calling to their asotu to make their move. 

In the same instant the pair suddenly came to life, so quickly moving that it was impossible to have seen with bare eyes which of them had burst into motion first. They were trained to take a beating, and their bodies were built for enduring worse than this, so it took some time before they began to show signs of being winded or staggered by blows from their opponent. One moment it seemed one had the upper hand and the next the tables had turned, and only the clock was winding down...
