The announcer droned on, with all the excitablity of an old wooden log, reading from his sheet of paper as the listings continued. It was nothing short of a miracle that his voice hadn't cracked and dried up by now - either that or the endless supply of water glasses that were passed his way.

"And in the (Cs) Crossbred stallion section we now come to the next entry. Owner and presenter; the mysterious, shadowed Mae from Darklight Stables.
A young stallion, this is his first show, but even so we're told that he moves with the grace of fluid water. Please turn your attention to the ring for 'Hollow's fall' out of Depression and Mannanan"

The stallion looked about, more intrigued than anything else. He'd never seen so many horses in one place before and both eyes and ears moved constantly, trying to take in as much as possible. It made him look nervous, but here and now he wasn't the slightest spooked. In fact, he had spotted a very pretty mare earlier and now he was trying to catch a glimpse of her again.

His handler was trying to coax him into moving into the ring. It had taken time and patience to earn the trust of the animal, and he was one of the few horses in he Valley that could be handled this way. Still, she didn't think it'd be a good idea to try and convince him to put up with the tack as well. Still, it was surprising, considering the fierece and unfriendly nature of both sire and dam, but she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
