It wasn't what you'd call the best of days. Oh, it had started out well enough; nearly clear skies and a warming autumn sun caressing the grass stiff after a full summer of blazing light. But as with so many other autumn days around the world, the dark shadow at the horizon was not a silverlining. Dusky, grey and billowing the sky had slowly filled up with a dreary mush of clouds and rain. The drizzle wasn't heavy, but it was peristent and had been going for hours now, not giving any indication of that it was going to surrender the day. It was also chilly, with an autumn tangent of refreshment blended in for good measure. With the horizon having long since been lost, and the nearby hills looking increasingly like they would soon to follow, it wasn't the best of days no matter how you looked at it. Wave Rock, the recently purchased ASH stallion, didn't care much for rain. It glistened against his coat, dancing all around him as he shook his head. His owner wasn't any fonder of rain than he was. But it was today or not at all. They'd managed to squeeze in to the very last slot for the halter class at Khan Khoban Farms and were needing pose for the photos that were going to be used beside the conformation in the ring, kind of like a work/nonwork before and after. The camera was being handled by a young, but at the moment nor very enthusiastic youth (possibly he didn't care for the rain either). Wishing for nothing more than to get back indoors, he didn't notice as the stallion's owner, just as he was snapping the shots, took a quick step outside the focus.
for the halter at the Khan Khoban Farm's Horse trials
I know that the rules stated the handler/rider had to show, so feel free to disqualify the entry - but when adding them the image lost everything I thought - and I'd rather keep the image and forego the entry.
