"She's still not getting it quite right. Let's try one more time girl," Sam spoke encouragingly to the Stable's newest filly. "And...UP!"
With plenty of slack still in the lead rope, Tethys reared obediently, then came down with a frustrated snort. The morning sun reflected off the specks of gold flecking in her otherwise silver grey coat. Shaking her head, mane and forelock tumbled in the light morning wind. A wind which was slowly pressing back the morning sunmist that still hovered over parts of the Valley. The young mare blinked and looked curiously at the only two humans she'd ever known, then pawed the ground. She wanted to go play. "Well, at least she's handleable - unlike her dam. Got some nice movement in her gaits too..." "I wouldn't have believed it, but you made a good choice of stallion there. Narwahl's stunning enough - but I wouldn't have thought the combination would have worked." "But it did" Sam stayed quiet this time. He was learning that quite often the descisions of the stable owner didn't always make much sense to him, at least not at the given moment. Still - she seemed to be getting the result she was after more often than not. And a lot of the time, that was ending in a horse that did better running free most of the year than being stabled and excercied. Dr Eliza JS: Do you believe it's OK to be a sensitive snake?
Gabriel: Why, yes I rather do. Would you prefer if I was homicidal megalomaniac like my first children?
The color turned out excellent... got love color adjusters

Villians give heroes some excitement in life, but more importantly: a PURPOSE.
The story is great, too. Heh-heh, if Sam trains unicorns, then he has great patience (and a fair amount of virtue, too). It is nice to have an equine that is rideable/trainable vs one that is totally wild.
Indeed, it gives just that little tweak you need
