There might be few limits binding the strange world of the fantastical Sam thought, as he stretched out his right hand for the waterglass he was sure he'd put on the bedside table before going to sleep, but even in his w ildest dreams he wouldn't have imagined Jake letting Ash out to play in the desert on his own with a bird of prey. Actually, now that he thought about it, it was in his dreams that the thought had occurred. Failing to find the glass, he lay back down again, a deep sigh escaping his lips as he nestled his body back among the many pillows. What in the world had pursuaded Mae to let Jake take Ash to the hunting show over at Khasim? Especially after what had just happened with their newest horse?
Not a main entry but, pre-supporting art from the bird/hound show over at Khasim stables [link] for our lovely stallion Ash (Askayl'er Kaytarah) which DIS purchased from MagicWinds Stables some time ago. Ash has settled in quite nicely, even though it did take him time to get used to the new and unfamiliar surroundings and routines and hopefully we should see him around a bit more now that Jake too has been allowed to start riding him.

I wanted to try a more watercolour feel to this than my usual stuff - not sure if that's what the outcome is, but it does look a little different.
As you might know from some of the WIPs I've uploaded in the last year, I started using a grid when sketching to improve my grasp of anatomy, especially for the hoof/hock area a while back. Finally decided to try going completely freestyle again, though using refs. Hoofs and hocks are still giving me nightmares, but I'd say that they've improved quite a bit, so the practice seems to have paid off YAY! (not that you can see it here with all the sand
Thanks a lot for loving my stocks
Thanks - I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
