I did *gulps* a proper digital background for the first time in my life I'm soo haaappy!!!

A severe storm a few days ago, blew in creatures caught in it from far and wide who’d been unlucky enough to find shelter in time.
Among them was one who seemed to immediately make himself at home. The new stallion seems to prefer the higher mountains that like further away from our valley, but he’s been seen in an increasing frequency to soar over those cliffs and lower mountains in which Darklight Valley is located. Perhaps there is something here that attracts him…
But Snowfell isn't the only one who's arrived. A fiery stallion from fara away lands was also blown in by the storm. While the frosty steed might tolerate the presence of the winged mare on the distant outcrop, he isn't sure he's all that fond of sharing the air with the smaller, but more hugely charismatic rival. He's having trouble making out what the other stallion is actually up to, or if he's just playing around.
Meanwhile, the mare pretended to ignore them both - concentrating on keeping her fiery wings at just the right state of blaze to melt the snow to reveal the green grass beneath it.


(He's standing on and outcropping in case anyone wondered, with his wings blowing a newly fallen powder snow from the top covering. The cliffs in the background aren't connected directly to the outcropping, there's a deep valley between them, going down hundereds of feet below what is shown here.)

Made for s contest. and based off; Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. I kind of tried to go for the whole feel of the lyrics (since I've got no clue to what it sounds like). The way it works to this image is that the one they want to touch and never to let go of is the sky, the freedom and companionship of the great wide open.
